The honey show will go on.

Unfortunately the Royal Agricultural Show in Pietermaritzburg has been cancelled again this year but the KZN Beefarmers Association has decided to stage a Honey Show this year. We are collaborating with the Honey Judges Guild of South Africa and aim to standardise the Honey Shows and judging standards across the country. This years show will be structured slightly differently to previous years at the Royal Show – so read the entry form carefully. The new entry form can be found here.

All participants are welcome. You do not need to be from KZN or a member of the Association. Put aside your best honeys, try your hand at mead making or enter the wax classes. There is something for everybody from the novice to the seasoned exhibitor.

Entries need to be in by Tuesday 18 May (by email), honey to be dropped off at the honey hall on Thursday 20 May (or couriered in by 18 May) and judging will take place on Friday 21 May.
